Inheritance Tax (IHT) Mitigation

Octopus ITS offers a fast and flexible solution to inheritance tax planning, allowing our clients to retain control of and access to their money, whilst delivering inheritance tax relief after just two years (provided the investments are still held at the time of death).
The wrapper has a targeted return of 3% per annum, which clients can choose to receive as growth or income. Octopus designed the ITS so that everyone’s interests  are well-aligned that is to say Octopus, the investors And the adviser. Notably, Octopus defer the payment of their annual management charges and only take them when the client withdraws from the product, and only if it has generated the target return.
This is an investment opportunity that offers attractive inheritance tax advantages, whilst targeting investments that deliver a more predictable return. Octopus only invests in companies whose business activities are focused on capital preservation, and they look for companies which provide asset backing or have contractual revenues with reliable customers.
Of course, it’s worth pointing out that, to access the benefits of Octopus ITS, there is a degree of capital risk. It’s also important to remember that there is no guarantee that the targeted return per annum will be achieved, only that Octopus will not charge fees if it isn’t achieved.
